Description

Dataset contains Lepidoptera observations made along established transects carried out in 2019. These observations were carried out as part of the larger monitoring schema "monitoring butterflies in the Sierra Nevada (Granada, Spain)". The main objectives of this project are 1) to record the population trend of the species being monitored, 2) to record the phenological patterns of each species and the possible changes that they may suffer due to climate changes 3) to identify variables related to the distribution and abundance of these species and, finally, 4) to establish an early warning system that allows managers to implement adaptive management measures on these species and their ecosystems.

This dataset is a port of a dataset created, published and hosted by iEcolab (Instituto Interuniversitario de Investigación del Sistema Tierra en Andalucía, Granada, Spain). It has been prepared to explore discoverability and interoperability issues related to LTER data and data publishing platforms such as DEIMS (https://deims.org/) and Eudat (https://b2share.eudat.eu/). Results to be presented at the "Biodiversity Next" Conference,, Leiden Oct 2019. https://doi.org/10.3897/biss.3.37257

Data Records

The data in this sampling event resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 2 records.

1 extension data tables also exist. An extension record supplies extra information about a core record. The number of records in each extension data table is illustrated below.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
