Description
Los datos mostrados en la presente base de datos son propiedad del Laboratorio de Entomología y Control de Plagas de la Universidad de Valencia. Cada dato representa un artrópodo o parte de este, perteneciente a uno de los siguientes ordenes: Hymenoptera, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, Orthoptera, Hemiptera, Diptera, Neuroptera, Dyctioptera y Odonata. La colección se halla conformada por ejemplares recolectados y/o trabajados en el propio Laboratorio y otros procedentes de colecciones donadas al laboratorio. En cuanto al área geográfica de recolección que abarca esta colección, la mayoría de ejemplares fueron recolectados en España y en el resto de Europa. La presente colección constaba de más de 425.000 ejemplares, pero tras la inundación sufrida en las instalaciones de los Institutos Universitarios de Investigación en septiembre de 2001, pasó a estar constituida por algo más de 60.000 ejemplares, los cuales son material recuperado de dicha inundación por lo que precisa de una compleja labor de recuperación, catalogación e informatización. En la actualidad se hallan introducidos en la base de datos de la colección cerca de 11.116 ejemplares, entre los que se encuentran 11 holotipos, 25 tipos (sin especificar), 87 paratipos y 1 leptotipo

Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 15,455 records.
