Checklist of the Crambidae of the Region of Murcia (Spain) with new records (Lepidoptera: Pyraloidea, Crambidae)

Latest version published by Animal Biology Section, Zoology and Phisic Antropology Department, Murcia University on May 31, 2021 Animal Biology Section, Zoology and Phisic Antropology Department, Murcia University

The Murcia Region (Southeastern Iberian Peninsula) has a great diversity of Lepidopteran fauna, as a zoogeographical crossroads and biodiversity hotspot. A list of Crambidae moths (Lepidoptera: Pyraloidea) is synthesised based on an examination of museum specimens, published records and new samples. In total, 9 subfamilies, Acentropinae, Crambinae, Cybalomiinae, Evergestinae, Scopariinae, Glaphyriinae, Odontiinae, Pyraustinae and Spilomeninae, 50 genera and 106 species have been recorded of which forty nine species are newly recorded for the Murcia region.

Data Records

The data in this checklist resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 116 records. 1 extension data tables also exist. An extension record supplies extra information about a core record. The number of records in each extension data table is illustrated below.

  • Taxon (core)
    116
  • Occurrence
    1997

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
