2022-07-21 eng The BIO herbarium belongs to the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and it is located in the Campus of Leioa (Bizkaia, Spain). It was created in 1981 and it is managed by the Department of Plant Biology and Ecology (Botany section). The BIO herbarium houses two main groups of organisms, namely vascular plants (BIO) and fungi (BIO-Fungi). This BIO-Fungi dataset publishes about 9000 occurrences of fungi (mainly Basidiomycota) from the Basque Country (Spain). The records are accompanied by a voucher specimen.
